The CDR combines the simple receiving of DAB audio with the presentation of all usual DAB data services. During implementation special emphasis was given to easy handling for the normal PC user.

As a complete solution the Fraunhofer IIS offers the following configuration:

• Libretto 100 CT with touch screen
• Fraunhofer IIS DSP PC-card 563 for pre-decoding DAB data of RDI interface
• BOSCH DAB receiver DAB core D (usage of other receivers with RDI output is possible through minimal software modification of the software
• Accumulator with automatic charging

• The software - in combination with the DSP PC-card 563 - is applicable on any PC with PC card interface (form factor type II) under Windows95.
• The user interface is designed for keyboard, as well as for pure mouse control.

The combination with other DAB receivers with RDI interface requires only little adaptation of the software. The following RDI modes are supported:

• low capacity
• high capacity
• extended capacity mode

To grant optional control of the connected DAB receiver, an appropriate interface (e.g. RS-232, USB) is required.
