  • CURATOR Archive Suite

    In today´s world more and more cinema content is produced, post-produced and stored using digital technologies. Therefore, archives receive and have to preserve digital film material for long-term periods. The Curator Archive Suite offers solutions for creation, playback and quality control of archive packages.

  • easyDCP Software Suite

    In the area of Digital Cinema no more film reels will be sent to the movie theaters. The DCP (Digital Cinema Package) contains encrypted digital film and audio data e.g. as well as subtitles for different languages. In order to deliver DCPs throughout the world Fraunhofer developed different software solutions under the label easyDCP for packaging, quality control, preview and key generation.

  • FlashBOX

    FlashBOX records and displays uncompressed HD sequences in YCbCr422, RGB 444 or Dual Stream YCbCr422 onto SSD cartridges. Its compact size of 175 x 115 x 74 mm and its light-weight of 1500 gramms makes it dockable to any camera or camera dolly.

  • JPEG2000 System on Chip

    This System on Chip allows the compression of HD video-streams in real-time. By compression in the JPEG 2000 format highest image quality is achieved, visually as well as fully mathematically lossless compression is supported.

  • POLKA – Camera to detect and analyze polarized light

    Under the slogan “visualize the invisible” our new small sized polarization camera POLKA senses the quality of light, which can’t be seen by the human eye – called polarization. Intensity and wavelength are recognized as brightness or color but there is no corresponding human sensation for polarization. But this is not valid for animals.
