DVB-SH
DVB-SH IP for Mobile Entertainment
The DVB-SH standard was developed specifically to convey multimedia broadcasting content to an unlimited number of portable and mobile devices while making highly effective use of spectrum resources. Being a hybrid broadcasting system, DVB-SH consists of a Satellite Component (SC) and a Complementary Ground Component (CGC). In contrast to classical terrestrial standards like DVB-H or DAB, the hybrid system architecture of DVB-SH offers several advantages like a large territorial coverage and an increased Quality of Service for urban areas.
Features
- Support for the complete DVB-SH standard (SH-A/SH-B, Class 1/Class 2)
- Field proven DVB-SH OFDM demodulator
- Field proven DVB-SH TDM demodulator
- Mobile DDR memory interface supporting interleaver memory sizes up to 2 GBit
- Full support for code combining (CC)
- Diversity support via maximum ratio combining (MRC)
- High-throughput turbo-decoder
- Fully integrated MPE decapsulator with MPE-FEC and IFEC support
