RFID Technologies
Metal mount tags need special antenna designs to provide a certain reading range. These tags enable RFID applications in logistics. The work performed is in coordination with our Fraunhofer Working Group for Technologies in Logistics Services ATL to get the best suited designs.
Sizes of the developed tags are between 89*45*4 mm³ and 45*15*5 mm³ including the housing. Larger and intermediate form-factors can easily be achieved. With the smallest tags reading ranges of more than 2 m have been proven. The larger UHF-tags achieve this reading range in the European as well as for the US frequencies.
