DECT Traffic Monitor V2

We developed several tools supporting measurement and development. In practice the DECT Traffic Monitor V2 has proven to be extremely capable for the measurement of DECT radio cells. It is an effective tool for monitoring the DECT radio recources.
The DECT Traffic Monitor V2 identifies base stations, monitors the DECT frequency band and analyzes the DECT signal quality.
Providing a prompt and intuitive display of the electric field strength distribution across the DECT frequency band, the DECT Traffic Monitor V2 allows a quick overview of the DECT channel occupation. Available base stations are identified, system and performance characteristics are analyzed and displayed. In addition, the signal quality of the base stations can be displayed, allowing for coverage and service quality analysis.

Features

• Base station scanning mode: Detects all DECT base stations in the receiving area
• Display of the identifiers of the DECT base stations and indication of identity classes to differentiate between private, public, single or multi-cell networks
• Identification of system and performance features of base stations
• Identification of synchronous base stations
• Continuous measurement and display of the field strength in the DECT frequency band as a matrix of bearer positions from a selected base station's point of view
• Visualization of the blind slots of the selected base station in the field strength matrix
• Shows all unused bearer positions at a glance (relatively to an adjustable limit)
• Display of the received field strength in dBm
• Shows the reception quality by counting the correctly received data and sync packets
• Long-term measurements and logging of measured data
• The receiver meets the requirements of the DECT standard: Sensitivity better than -86 dBm (-90 dBm typ.)

DECT Development

We support all phases of the development and introduction of wireless communication systems operating on DECT basis by providing market studies, simulation and measurement services. Our team of developers and engineers will support you with the realization of customized solutions.

DECT Software

Fraunhofer IIS develops DECT systems for both voice and data communication. The base is an highly efficient protocol stack to service the broad range of DECT system requirements.
To realize the various DECT communication scenarios, an AT-Modem as well as a DHCI interface (DHCI = DECT Host Controller Interface) are offered as standard software interface for the DECT protocol stack. The DECT software from the Fraunhofer IIS allows for simultaneous voice and data communication.

DECT Hardware

Realize your solutions for voice and data networks with our efficient, power-saving, miniaturized and low-cost radio modules.
The DECT M6 radio module is an efficient and reliable platform for wireless voice and data communication. It is available for DECT and DECT 6.0.
The DECT M6 radio module enables simultaneous wireless digital data and voice communication between one base station (fixed part, FP) and one or more mobile stations (portable part, PP) using exclusively assigned frequency bands. It is designated as a compliance tested OEM module for integration into end products. The radio module can also be a reference platform for customer-specific product developments. System features, interfaces and mechanical design can be adapted to individual requirements.
An evaluation kit provides a comprehensive platform for testing.
