In close cooperation with you our engineers will find out what is the best and most practicable solution to your problem. Feasibility studies may help you to evaluate and broaden your concepts. Tools for special transmission technologies have been developed to perform e.g. tests or to optimize your systems.
In a next step we will design and adapt new technologies to your specific needs. Prototyping as well as field test verification completes our service package.
Our commercial arm, the Innovation Center for Telecommunications Technology IZT GmbH is prepared for small volume batch production.
Moreover, Fraunhofer IIS offers licencing for hard- and software as well as for manufacturing technologies, thus enabling the technological lead of your company.
Cooperation with the IIS
As a rule, any cooperation will be confirmed through a contract, either a research and development contract or a licensing agreement. Any customer-specific work will be done on the basis of a research and development contract. You will receive an offer with fixed price, scope of work and a time schedule, based on the general terms and conditions of the Fraunhofer-Gesellschaft.
Fees will be charged according to expenses. You will be able to access existing know-how or hard- and software within the framework of a licensing agreement. Payment will be a down payment or a royalty per unit. Both types of contract will be used if, for example, existing know-how has to be adapted to the specific requirements of a customer.
