Technologies
One core competency of Fraunhofer IIS is the design of mixed analog-digital integrated circuits.
The capability profile includes the development of application specific integrated circuits (ASICs), the development of IPs for system-on-chips and design services. Due to the close cooperation with industrial semiconductor vendors we offer a wide range of semiconductor technologies. The design focus is on 180 nm and 90 nm CMOS technologies.
Frequent multi-project wafer (MPW) runs at different semiconductor vendors (in the scope of the EU-funded project EUROPRACTICE) allow Fraunhofer IIS to offer consistent solutions from IC design and prototype manufacturing to the delivery of small and largest volume.
