In security applications, it is often desirable to keep a camera focused on a moving object or person. The SentryCam application determines the positions of objects or people and relays this information to the camera, thus enabling it to focus intelligently. Remote-controlled camera heads are thus transformed into an intelligent autonomous system which automatically tracks mobile transmitters. This opens up a variety of applications in surveillance, crowd monitoring and intelligent transport systems.
Fraunhofer IIS can make this platform available as a product, which means that you can simply add SentryCam to your product portfolio. This will give you the opportunity to utilize Fraunhofer’s long-standing experience in developing industrial applications. The positioning units were developed entirely by Fraunhofer IIS experts and are extremely versatile, which makes them easy to integrate into existing products. The entire system is designed for direct integration.
