In addition to GPS and GLONASS as existing satellite navigation systems further systems (e. g. Galileo, COMPASS) will be available in the next years. These systems and the renewal of existing geostationary satellite based augmentation systems (SBAS) open new application fields for satellite based positioning and navigation.

Since 1996 researchers at Fraunhofer IIS have been dealing with innovative solutions related to satellite navigation. We are developing high-performance mobile and professional applications for the satellite navigation systems stated above.

We are currently developing or offering the following technologies in the field of GNSS:

 

Products and Technologies

  • GNSS-Frontends

    We offer customized broadband frontends for GNSS receivers as well as development services for your scopes of application.

  • Baseband

    Our FPGA-based prototype platforms for digital signal processing enable own solutions for baseband algorithms and hardware.

    • Receiver and Prototype Platforms

      We provide receiver for positioning with PVT or RTK solutions. For client-specific receiver development our hardware platforms are available.

    • Development and Analysis Tools

      You can design and optimize receiver systems by using our development and analysis tools. Analysis of all receiver components is possible and different implementations of one component can be simulated within a comparison system.
