Navigation Algorithms

The fusion of sensor data is based on an intelligent interconnection of measured data of different sensor systems in order to increase the precision, robustness, availability, and system stability.

Owing to their high data rates and autonomous functionality, inertial sensors are suitable for supporting other systems, such as global satellite navigation systems or W-LAN localization systems. Whilst interpolation of data improves the accuracy, the application of different systems guarantees the stability by bridging possible system failures.

  • We develop solutions to increase the availability, accuracy and robustness of current navigation systems.
  • We develop algorithms for fusion and combination of the data of different sensor systems for seamless localization.
  • We develop hardware platforms for multi-sensor systems.
  • We implement interfaces for the integration of data into the application software according to specific requirements.
