Nanofocus X-ray Technology
The Fraunhofer Institute for Integrated Circuits IIS offers a wide range of state-of-the-art services with its project Nanofocus X-ray Technology. We solve your inspection tasks in our modern inspection laboratories located at the premises of the Technikum Fürth.
In cooperation with our industrial partners who also established branch offices at these premises, we put the most advanced know-how and equipment at your disposal. The X-ray inspection laboratory as well as the industrial image evaluation represent an important part of our project. Our services comprehend the entire field of radioscopic inspection technologies.
Our inspection experts examine your products with respect to concealed defects using state-of-the-art X-ray inspection systems suitable for a large variety of products. Our equipment covers the entire range from coarse structure analysis to high-resolution X-ray microscopy. By means of the computed tomography we can provide you with 3D representations of your product, if required. Our sophisticated software enables you to visualize the interior structure of your product by moving through its individual layers. Details of the object can be easily measured in each of these layers.
Our scientists and accredited inspection engineers support you with regard to process optimization and quality assurance. Moreover we offer you solutions for all inspection tasks in the field of nondestructive testing in co-operation with the Fraunhofer-Institut für Zerstörungsfreie Prüfverfahren IZFP (Institute for Nondestructive Testing) in Saarbrücken, with universities and industrial partners.
