480 scientists are presently working for Fraunhofer IIS. The majority of our employees are graduate engineers (from universities and universities of applied sciences) of electrical engineering or computer science. But you can also find physicists, mathematicians as well as students and graduates of corresponding courses of studies.
Research and development projects are geared to the state of the art of science and technology and are mostly to be carried out within a narrow timeframe. Prospective employees of Fraunhofer IIS are economically oriented, communicative, disposed to study further and are able to work target-oriented in a team.
Besides the technical qualification required by the respective departments all applicants should be motivated to give maximum performance at the forefront of technical development. Moreover, the ability to work in a team and independently are unconditional prerequisites for a successful collaboration in our team. Many international contacts demand very good command of English. Good command of further languages would be an advantage.
