Contactless Test and Measurement Systems — Requirements and Qualifications
Scientists in the Contactless Test and Measurement Systems department are active in three key areas: Measurement engineering, sensor technology and systems engineering.
The measurement engineering group focuses on software requirements engineering of inspection and measuring tasks. The scientists develop automatic inspection and measurement methods (X-ray and optical 3D measurement methods) and image processing and evaluation algorithms. A further field of activity is the implementation and supervision of prototype systems and the development of measurement hardware.
The scientists in the area of sensor technology focus on the development and manufacturing of custom-made special-purpose cameras for X-ray systems. The scope of service ranges from specification to prototype, including the development of embedded software as well as the mechanical housing design for customer-specific measurement tasks.
The scientists in the systems group focus on the development of test and measurement systems for quality assurance, parallelized real-time image processing algorithms as well as embedded software in the field of sensor technology.
