Process-Integrated Inspection Systems — Requirements and Qualifications

The Process-integrated Inspection Systems department applies its technology and expertise in turn-key developments and the set-up of X-ray inspection systems supporting our customers at every level of production. This is made possible by the unprecedented fusion of innovative X-ray technology with methods for the automated inspection of objects using optical procedures.

The Competencies of the Process-Integrated Inspection Systems Department are in the Following Areas

  • System development for automatic defect detection for e. g. cast parts, X-ray methods, as well as optical procedures
  • Computed tomography for nondestructive testing in production processes (like inline CT)
  • Mobile computed tomography
  • Tailormade development of inspection methods and systems in the production process as well as automation procedures
  • Consulting and support for the procurement of inspection systems
  • Applications in the framework of scientific inspection services

Requirement Profile

Candidates possess a Master’s degree in electrical engineering, computer science, mathematics or physics. Necessary knowledge and technical skills depending on assignment:

  • Basic knowledge of X-ray technology
  • Strong programming background in C, C++ and C#
  • Expertise in the area signal processing (ideally in image processing or pattern recognition)
  • Experience in the operating systems Windows XP/7
  • Hardware knowledge is an asset, but not prerequisite
