Testing automotive applications with 5G
Connected and automated vehicles need reliable connectivity solutions in order to be linked to each other, the surrounding traffic infrastructure and other road users at all times and in all locations. Before their market launch, new connectivity solutions need to undergo rigorous and extensive testing and functionality checks. Our simulation platform “C-V2XSim” and our 5G Bavaria test bed “Automotive” provide accessible, suitable environments to test your 5G and V2X applications in 5G networks.
The Fraunhofer IIS traffic and 5G simulator allows simulation and evaluation of C-V2X in realistic traffic scenarios and under different network conditions. With our test bed, we go into the field: the real test environment in a controlled, reproducible, and at the same time, confidential environment offers the possibility to develop and test applications of the latest generation of mobile communication in preparation for series production. The simulation platform “C-V2XSim” also includes selected test tracks of the test bed “Automotive” and can be used on its own or in combination with the test bed.
