Modern Mobility Concepts - Location Based Services (LBS), Navigation and Car-/ Bikesharing

For locals and tourists in a city there are many possibilities for mobility - in addition to using public transport, a city can also be explored on foot or by using car or bike-sharing services. With the deployment of 5G Small Cells (e.g. at street lamps and traffic lights) it is possible to offer Location Based Services (LBS) like the navigation of pedestrians in the entire city area, even if satellite-based positioning e.g. in buildings or underpasses is not available. 5G can also help to facilitate the positioning of transport in the context of sharing concepts, e.g. by positioning cars (car sharing), bicycles (bike sharing) or other means of transport, so that providers and users know where and when the desired means of transport is available.
