Josephine® is a mentoring program for all female students employed at our institute. As a working student, you have the opportunity to apply for the program and benefit from individual guidance on your path into the professional world.
Places in the program are awarded through an application and selection process.
As part of the program, you will have the opportunity to work on your professional future with an experienced female employee or researcher as your mentor. Through regular meetings, you will receive support and guidance on your path into the world of work. Together, you will identify your individual strengths and opportunities for a successful start to your career.
In addition, we offer an exciting supplementary program to help you systematically develop key skills and maximize your career opportunities.
You are a great fit if you …
- are currently employed at Fraunhofer IIS as a student;
- are enrolled in a Master’s programme and your Master’s thesis or graduation is approaching;
- are not yet completely sure which career path suits you best;
- are interested in applied research and would like to develop your career prospects at Fraunhofer.
Program elements
Supporting program
In addition to a joint kick-off event, a networking event and a closing event, mentees take part in exclusive workshops. These sessions help you assess your current situation and systematically identify your strengths and competencies. You will also develop individual strategies for communicating your strengths and achievements confidently and presenting yourself effectively.
Tandem partner
Each mentee is matched with an experienced female employee or researcher who serves as her mentor. Your mentor shares her professional experience, specialist knowledge and informal insights, and supports you in developing your career perspective.
Mentees and mentors meet regularly and shape their meetings around individual goals and needs. These meetings are the core element of the programme and a prerequisite for participating in the supporting programme.
Networking
At programme events, you can expand your personal network by connecting with mentors and other mentees.
