Summer School for Test Engineering

Fascinating presentations and networking

The Bavarian Chip-Design-Center (BCDC) cordially invites you to the Summer School for Test Engineering, in cooperation with the Nuremberg University of Applied Sciences.

We look forward to welcoming you to Weltenburg Abbey from August 10–12, 2026, and to sharing an exciting few days with you.

Who can participate?

This event is aimed at students majoring in electrical engineering, computer science, mechatronics, precision engineering, and related fields who are interested in test engineering. It is particularly geared toward those who are looking for internships, thesis projects, or full-time employment.

A maximum of 30 students can participate.

Selection will be based on the application form, in which you provide details about your degree program and your motivation. Anyone who has previously participated in a THN Summer School for Test Engineering may participate again only if there are sufficient spots available.

What can you expect?

We want to get you excited about the topic of “testing” and connect you with relevant companies. Learn more about the field and opportunities for internships, thesis projects, or direct entry into the workforce through expert presentations. During breaks and especially in the evenings, the focus will be on networking with company representatives in a relaxed atmosphere.

Where will you be staying?

Accommodations are in twin rooms at the Weltenburg Abbey guesthouse, including meals. We’ll ask about any special requests or dietary restrictions in advance. There’s usually a choice between a vegetarian and a meat dish.

How much does it cost?

The event is almost entirely funded by the participating companies.

As participants, you’ll be charged a fee of 75 euros

This includes:

  • Accommodation in a double room
  • Meals
  • Trip to Kelheim, including a boat ride
  • Company visit

Not included are travel to and from Weltenburg and to the company visit.

Travel to and from Weltenburg, as well as participation in the company visit, are at your own risk.
