Prof. Dr.-Ing. Albert Heuberger

Executive Director of Fraunhofer IIS

Prof. Albert Heuberger is Executive Director of the Fraunhofer Institute for Integrated Circuits IIS in Erlangen. Since 2011, he is holding the Chair of Information Technology (Communication Electronics) at the Friedrich-Alexander-Universität Erlangen-Nürnberg. He has been chairman of the Research Fab Microelectronics Germany (FMD) steering committee and spokesman of the Fraunhofer Group for Microelectronics since 2020. His research focuses on Internet-of-Things (IoT) communication, positioning, and cognitive sensor technologies.
