In 2024, Fraunhofer IIS's revenue amounted to €240.3 million. The institute financed 42 percent of its expenses excluding investments with funds from business and industry, and an additional 23 percent from public project funds. The remaining budget is covered by other revenue, e.g. from foundations or other research institutions, as well as by institutional funding (including base funding) from the Fraunhofer-Gesellschaft.
