Funding*
In 2025, Fraunhofer IIS’s revenue amounted to €264 million. The institute financed 58 percent of its expenses (excluding investments) with funds from business and industry, and an additional 24 percent from public project funds. The remaining budget is covered by other revenue, such as contributions from foundations or other research institutions, as well as by institutional funding (including base funding) from the Fraunhofer-Gesellschaft.
