German-French ecosystem for private 5G networks
The 5G OPERA project is led by Dresden University of Technology and the French research institute EURECOM. Together with other partners, the project aims to establish a Franco-German ecosystem for private 5G networks. The aim is to ensure that individual components such as radio units, distributed units and centralised units from different manufacturers can operate and be combined with each other.
The Localisation and Networks division contributes positioning expertise and is working on the migration of basic positioning algorithms for the TOA Calculator in the RAN and LMFs in the core, which will then be integrated into the OpenAirInterface environment by TU Dresden and EURECOM.
