Nomadic 5G Positioning Testbed

The Nomadic 5G Positioning Testbed is your platform for testing poisitioning with 5G at an early stage. It allows you to test the new positioning functionalities in 5G directly on your premises before commercial equipment is available and start application-specific optimizations for industrial applications. It gives you a head start in the integration of position-based services for your logistics and production processes.

The testbed gives you a competitive edge through a cost-effective information and experience advantage in process optimization and monitoring using real-time 5G localization, for example through use in the transport and construction industries or agriculture. It can also be used in areas where a dense, public 5G infrastructure is not possible.

By using the nomadic 5G testbed, you can work on the use of 5G positioning independently of your existing infrastructure in your company and test your specific industrial requirements against it. This allows you to determine the requirements for future, targeted adaptation.

The Nomadic 5G Positioning Testbed consists of 8 radio units connected to a cluster for mobile signal processing. This enables a fast setup. Time-Difference of Arrival methods (TDoA) are currently used as the positioning method.
