At Coiltech 2026, Fraunhofer IIS will be demonstrating how modern magnetic field measurement and visualization open up new insights into electromagnetic systems - from fault analysis to quality assurance.

Making magnetic fields visible: HallinSight®

With the HallinSight® magnetic field camera, Fraunhofer IIS makes magnetic fields in motors, actuators and other electromagnetic systems visible in three dimensions. The technology enables

  • the detection of magnetic faults,
  • the analysis of complex field distributions and
  • the targeted optimization of motor and drive concepts.

At the stand you can see how magnetic fields are visualized live and you can take a direct look inside electrical machines.

3D Hall magnetic field sensors with integrated sensor signal evaluation: HallinOne®

Our in-house developed HallinOne® 3D magnetic field sensors with intelligent data processing form the basis for our HallinSight® magnetic field camera. The highly integrated Hall sensors are compact, robust and ideal for applications that require high accuracy, reliability and system integration.

Also: Motor research at Fraunhofer IISB

Fraunhofer IISB is expanding the joint trade fair offering to include insights into the development of highly efficient electrical machines - from simulation and design to prototype construction and testing on motor test benches up to 1 MW. The focus will be on drive systems with high torque density and the integration of modern SiC and GaN inverters.
