Industrial Computed Tomography

In the field of quality assurance 3D computed tomography is a well-established technique for the determination of fibre layers, the detection of defects and dimensional measurements. The manufacturer-independent course "Industrial Computed Tomography" offered by Fraunhofer EZRT closes a gap in the education program available up to now.
The workshop is tailored to the specific needs of skilled workers, technicians and engineers operating CT systems or planning to apply this technology in the future.

Course contents

Applying a balanced mix of theory and hands-on training with CT x-ray systems, the course conveys special knowledge in the area of computed tomography processes. Participants also practice computer-based simulations in order to gain experience in carrying out independent, professional measurements and analyzing the results.

Moreover participants learn about the recording techniques, but also about economic aspects regarding the measurements. The courses are taught by our experienced scientists and engineers.

  • Introduction and foundations
  • Components and system concepts
  • Quality aspects
  • Evaluation and data management
  • Hands-on experience
