Since the opening of the NS Documentation Center in Munich in May 2015, the exhibition and the digital media offer are the main focus. To provide a historical education for all generations, visitors are guided by Mediaguides through individual stations.
The system was developed and implemented by the company die InformationsGesellschaft mbH, based on the positioning technology awiloc® from the Fraunhofer IIS. A total of 400 different mediaguides support multimedial tours in eight languages. The NS Documentation Center, with an area about 1 000 square meters, focuses on NS history and is constantly expanding its media offerings.
