DHPcare – sensor-based Patient Monitoring and individual Treatment Models based on Clinical Grade Wearables

In the event of chronic illness, preventive measures and diagnostic monitoring of the patient’s health condition are essential. Although patients suffering from chronic illnesses undergo clinical visits at regular intervals, there is no reliable data on how patients feel in the meantime, or how the disease is progressing. The absence of such data poses a particular challenge when it comes to efficiently selecting appropriate treatments, and cannot be remedied by individual patient feedback alone.

In order to reliably forecast disease progression, at DHPcare we rely on sensor-based, day-to-day patient monitoring and home-based patient-centered treatment approaches. Our method relies on AI-based biosignal analysis from clinical grade wearables that capture patients’ vital signs such as heart rate, blood pressure, breathing, etc. in real time and with clinical precision. Direct connectivity to the clinical environment means the data is immediately available.

CardioTEXTIL: long-term ECG system for mobile use in everyday life
  •  Mobility disorders: Sensor-based gait analysis for mobility monitoring of patients with Parkinson’s disease in the home and as a tool for tailored treatment plans and reliable disease progression prognoses
  • Cardiology: Use of the CardioTEXTIL long-term ECG system for early detection of cardiac arrhythmia to prevent strokes or infarcts
  • Psychosomatic medicine: Emotion analysis for early and reliable detection of mental strain to avert long-term negative effects and promote mental health

Benefits for patients

  • Tailored care with direct clinical connectivity facilitates both treatment selection and the necessary treatment adjustments, while improving quality of life in patients’ everyday life
  • Data sovereignty is no longer exclusively in the hands of healthcare professionals; patients can contribute to their own health and well-being by monitoring their health condition at all times using clinical grade wearables

Benefits for physicians

  • Reduced workload and additional support by using digital technologies that simplify workflows and facilitate the exchange of clinical information between healthcare professionals and patients
  • Clinical grade wearables map the patient’s health condition 24/7, allowing targeted diagnosis and treatment selection
