Precise and Robust Positioning for Automated Road Transports (PRoPART)


Autonomous driving is made possible by the interaction of various redundant systems in a motor vehicle, the interconnectivity of vehicles on the road, as well as precise and robust navigation solutions. These systems must cope with complex traffic situations while supplying reliable data to ensure the exact determination of the vehicle’s position.

  • Development and optimization of a precise Real Time Kinematic (RTK) software solution based on Galileo signals in combination with additional positioning and sensor technologies
  • Development of a satellite-based receiver with high availability and high precision of positional data
  • Showcase: automated merging of a truck in a live demonstration
