Magnetic Resonance and X-Ray Department

The department is part of the Development Center for X-ray Technology EZRT and is located on the Hubland Süd campus of Julius-Maximilians-Universität Würzburg (JMU).

Its core competencies include the use of magnetic resonance in the biological sciences, materials research, nondestructive testing and new technologies.

Another research focus is on the highest-resolution X-ray methods at the micrometer and nanometer levels. Employing customized acquisition and analysis methods plus highly specific hardware developed in-house, researchers in the Magnetic Resonance and X-ray Imaging department translate the latest findings from university research and development into biomedical and industrial applications.
